In Ventura County, a home has been yellow-tagged after a large portion of the backyard washed away when a nearby canal overflowed, causing the land next to it to collapse. Officials say the full extent of the damage is still unclear. #ventura | KTLA 5 News

Yesterday, Ventura County Fire Department, Ventura City Fire, Oxnard Fire, and the VC Air Unit successfully conducted a swift water rescue of an individual trapped by rising floodwaters. The victim was located beneath the 101 Freeway, surrounded on all sides by rapidly moving and rising water. Firefighters from all the partner agencies worked together seamlessly to execute the rescue. A member of VCFD’s Swift Water Rescue Team was lowered from Oxnard Fire Truck 81 using a flying stokes rope resc
